Sacramento Food Film Festival

February 28th, 2012

Do we know the real story of food? Become food literate! Learn all about food, from dirt to table, at the Sacramento Food Film Festival on Saturday, March 10, from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. at the Guild Theater on Broadway and 35th street.

The popularity of documentaries such as Supersize Me and Food, Inc. has paved the way for more films about food. The Sacramento Food Film Festival will feature eight thought-provoking and entertaining films that tackle important issues such as farming, government regulations, genetic modifications and school lunches. There also will be a panel featuring local farmers to discuss issues brought up by the film Farmaggedon about how family farms are affected by large agricultural industries. In addition, there will be food trucks and a concession stand of healthy snacks by Whole Foods.

Visit California Food Literacy Center at our booth and learn about our food literacy program!
