California Food Literacy Center was formed as a nonprofit in July 2011 thanks to supportive community partners willing to donate time, expertise, and dollars.

Community volunteers are responsible for helping us develop our classroom curriculum, designing our logo and website, and helping us change the world! We focus our financial resources where they matter most: on the children and parents we teach about sustainable, healthy eating.

Currently, our 501(c)(3) tax status paperwork is being processed despite a backlog due to government furloughs. We anticipate approval in spring 2012. We are able to accept tax deductible donations through our fiscal sponsor.
